Put-in-Bay Fire Chief John “Moe” Wilhelm is waging a courageous battle with cancer.
John, in the Wilhelm tradition, is a community supporter, always a volunteer, always there to help whether it's an EMT call, an ice rescue, or a fire alarm, always among the first on the scene.
Now, it's our turn to give a little.His family, friends and colleagues will be throwing a benefit to help cover deductibles and travel expenses for his treatment on Sunday, December 7 from 1-6 p.m. There will be live music, raffles and food. Mr. Ed's Bar & Grill is located at 255 West Lakeshore Dr., in Port Clinton, Ohio 43452 (just west of the drawbridge). Phone (419) 734-2243.
