Description:Kelly Delaveris Trio- 7:00pm, the back porch of the visitor center at Perry’s Victory and International Peace Memorial.
Kelly Delaversis returns this summer as our closing act. You might remember the great performance she and the Brasileira gave last summer. This year her jazz band joins her. Kelly Crum Delaveris has been singing professionally since 1978, inspired by her father's collection of big band singers and Sergio Mendes recordings. She has sung with many types of instrumentation, from a duo to a symphony, and is a frequent guest with the Columbus Jazz Orchestra. John Petric, of the Columbus Dispatch, describes her "...silky voice... her rapid-fire phrasing, practically turning the lyrics into liquid sounds. Amazing." Kelly has opened for the likes of Sarah Vaughn, Bob James, Bob Newhart, Joan Rivers, Tito Puente, Tony Bennett and many more. She was voted best vocalist in Columbus by the Columbus Dispatch 2006 Readers Poll. The group is located in Columbus, Ohio. Kelly sings with the trio, Brasileira and the Columbus Jazz Orchestra. She also has two solo 2 CDs. She fund raises to find a cure for cancer. Go to www.achristmastocurecancer.org to learn more. All proceeds from her two CDs support this effort.
The Wednesday concerts will also include a “in residence” performance at 2:00prior to the concert at the Put-in-Bay Senior Center
