Anchored by eight longtime jazz band musicians and led by Al Hart, The Elders of Jazz brings decades of gigs and performances to the island for a big band, Dixieland style jazz sound. This year the band will feature local drummer Russ Brohl. Russ has a little extra time on his hands these days and has dusted off his drum set. You may remember Russ in his rock and roll days with his band MODJ and setting in with Ben Dover and the Screamers. So put this date on your calendar for a great night of jazz.
The Wednesday concerts will also include a “in residence” performance at 2:00pm prior to the concert at the Put-in-Bay Senior Center.
