Spring is building up. That soaring feeling as temperatures inch up, Mother Nature’s colors replace memories of winter’s muted grays and browns. On Put-in-Bay, the Miller Ferries resumed 2018 service in early March, after months of a frigid, ice-locked season.
Spring. Sunlight. Friends. And The Whiskey Light beckons.
And we are so ready.
Put-in-Bay gathering spots and watering holes throw out the Welcome mat for this weekend’s annual Season Opener on Put-in-Bay
. Friends and locals gather, live music is rolled out (Killer Flamingos and Ray Fogg at the Roundhouse) and folks we’ve missed over the winter reappear. Doesn’t matter that spring seems to be lagging a bit this year, it’s just Ohio’s way of saying there’s plenty of fun indoors.
Here are some ideas of where to head this weekend on Put-in-Bay: Frosty Bar
opens on Friday, April 13
with their annual Pizza Buffet, the Red Moon for a speakeasy atmosphere and the perfect cocktail, the Reel Bar
features Mimosa specials Saturday, April 14
, and Ray Fogg leads the celebration at the Round House Bar
when the “Whiskey Light” switch flips ON Sunday
afternoon, April 15
. Plenty of other eateries and bars will also be open
. Cabs are available at the Miller Ferry Lime Kiln Put-in-Bay Dock, or reserve a cart at E’s Golf Cart Rental
, rent bicycles or carts from Island Transportation or Erie Island Carts.
Come celebrate the new, the old, and good friends on Put-in-Bay.
See You on the Island!
