  • The Mary Ann Market will be the fifth and largest vessel in the Miller Ferry fleet. Capacity up to 600 passengers/approximately 28 vehicles.
  • This drive on/drive off passenger/vehicle ferry is under construction at Fraser Shipyard, Superior, WI and designed by naval architects Elliot Bay, Seattle, WA. Delivery season 2021.
  • The Mary Ann Market is named in honor of family owned company matriarch (1935-2010).
  • Enhancements for efficiency, safety and comfort include:
    • Lower deck passenger cabin, wheelchair accessible.
    • Larger upper deck passenger cabin, restroom, temperature controlled,
      forward facing and side windows for broader lake vistas.
    • Additional upper deck passenger seats in cabin and deck.
    • Broader stairway.
    • 3x Caterpillar C-18s, Tier 3 EPA emissions, 803 HP each, total 2409 HP.

M/V Put-in-Bay Extension

During the fall/winter of 2009 and 2010, the 96 foot long vessel Put-in-Bay was serviced at Great Lakes Shipyard, Cleveland, Ohio, where a 40 foot steel midsection was fabricated and added to the ferry. New articulating Deflector Marine Rudders were added and she was repowered with two 715HP Caterpillar C18s. Her capacity grew from about 18 vehicles to approximately 28 vehicles and 500 passengers to 600.
