Perry’s Monument Fall Hours Begin
September 13, 2021 @ 10:00 am - 5:00 pm

Perry’s Victory and International Peace Memorial begins their fall hours Sept. 13. The 25-acre Park and Visitor Center is open from 10 am – 5 pm daily through Sept. 30.
Perry’s Victory and International Peace Memorial was established to honor those who fought and died in the Battle of Lake Erie during the War of 1812 and to celebrate the long-lasting peace between the United States, Great Britain and Canada. The Memorial, rising 352 feet over Lake Erie, is situated 5 miles from the longest undefended border in the world. The 352-foot tall structure is the world’s largest Doric column and is made of pink granite from Milford, MA. The column has a wood base structure with an outer concrete core. Park Rangers in 1812 period military uniforms will fire a musket salute after the morning flag raising ceremony.
