Garlic Mustard Pull ~ Volunteers Needed
October 16 @ 8:30 am - 10:30 am
FALL GARLIC MUSTARD PULL
Meet in the Cooper’s Woods Parking Lot beside the Mother of Sorrows Church on Saturday, October 16, 2021 from 8:30-10:30am. Come for any period of time, ten minutes or two hours! Bring garden gloves if you have them. We will provide bags to dispose of the invasive garlic mustard. Andy Van Camp, the National Park Service Great Lakes Restoration Initiative ranger at Perry’s Victory and International Peace Memorial will be on hand to help identify the rosettes (first year leaves) of the garlic mustard and discuss invasive plants.
Enjoy the new trail signs that are up on the Cooper’s Woods Preserve Trail!
Stay for the Holiday Bazaar next door at The Goat from 11-4 and for the fundraiser for former Conservancy member Woody Widmar’s scholarship that afternoon!
